Ceremony
The wedding ceremony will take place in the Old Courtroom of the DeKalb Historic Courthouse and will begin promptly at 11:30 am. Guests are encouraged to arrive beginning at 11:00 am to enjoy live prelude music performed by a pianist and cellist prior to the start of the service.
The service will follow a traditional Anglican order adapted from The Book of Common Prayer, first published in 1662 and still widely used in Anglican worship today. While many guests may be unfamiliar with this form of service, it is welcoming and accessible, with moments of spoken responses, prayer, and music.
The ceremony will include a formal processional, the exchange of vows and rings, prayers, scripture readings, and blessings, and will be officiated by the Reverend Patricia Burgess, who will guide the service and offer the final blessing and pronouncement of marriage.
We kindly ask that guests refrain from using phones or cameras during the ceremony, as professional photographers will be present.
